Carefully selected herbs are prepared in rice, leaves or sand, soaked in medicated herbal decoction and wrapped in fabric to create pindas (boluses). Pinda Svedana is a deeply therapeutic site-specific localized heat and massage application for alleviating joint and muscle pain.
Dough bastis are containers prepared from the flour to hold warm herbal oil over specific areas of the body, Chakras, thyroid or adrenal gland or the eyes.
HRD (HEART) BASTI
In this therapy, warm Ayurvedic Herbal Oil is held in a circular dough filled dam placed around the Heart Area. The oil sinks in penetrating the surrounding area to soothe, nourish and balance the heart. This treatment benefits diseases of the heart muscle, increases oxygen to the heart tissues. Benefits congestive heart failure and relieves deeply held anger and sadness.
KATI BASTI TO TREAT BACK PAIN
Students will learn how to administer basti treatment on the back to relieve back pain, Sciatica pain through this deeply soothing and nourishing Ayurvedic treatment. Kati Basti uses the circular dough filled Dam to hold warm Ayurvedic Herbal Oils to penetrate the injured area so that circulation can be increased, the area can be detoxified and the root cause of the ache can be addressed.
JANU BASTI (FOR KNEE PAIN)
One of the most effective treatments for acute and chronic knee pain, Janu Basti uses the dough filled dam placed around the knee to hold warm Ayurvedic Herbal Oil so that it penetrates, nourishes and soothes the pained area. Very effective for knee pain from arthritis or injury and for relieving stiffness in the knee.
NETRA BASTI FOR EYES
Soothing, clearing and nourishing for the eyes, this treatment is useful for various eye conditions, cleansing and cooling the eyes. A dough filled dam is placed around the eyes to hold warm Ayurvedic Herbal Ghee that will bathe and increase circulation, strengthening and helping to restore balance to the eyes and head. Benefits glaucoma, macular degeneration, eye strain, early cataract, sty, Bell's palsy and dry or itchy eyes.

AYURVEDIC FOOT MASSAGE
The feet have (Marma) pressure points that directly connect to all the major parts of the body. When pressure is applied to these points, the correlating body area experiences releasing and energizing which bring the area back into equilibrium.
