Namaste & Warm Greetings from the Ayurvedic team at the Sanctuary!
Over the last decade. Ayurveda has established strong roots at the Sanctuary and is now ready to expand to the next level. To meet the growing demand we now have 4 Ayurveda practitioners ready to guide you to better health and to train those who want to study this science of longevity. We are now accepting students for our professional level Ayurveda Health Counselor Certification course starting in September 2019.
Ayurvedic medicine is a comprehensive, time-tested system of medical therapies, combining nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, body therapies, internal cleansing and immune-system support. with increasing health challenges, much contradiction and confusion about what to eat and a fragmented approach to our health, Ayurveda's wisdom is needed more than ever to guide us to be healthy, happy and live to our fullest potential.
We are proud to bring you a team of professionals who want to dedicate their training and expertise to bring this Ayurvedic wisdom to heal patients and transform lives. Come meet our Ayurveda team on Saturday February 2nd at noon for an informative discussion on Weight Loss (click here for info and to sign up). Coming up on February 16th we will be talking about Allergies and in March learn how to prepare for Spring so that you transition from winter to summer without any health challenges. In the meantime here's a little background on the team:
With the support of my husband and children, I established the Ayurveda clinic at the Sanctuary over 10 years ago to provide therapies and consults which reflect the spiritual foundation of Ayurveda. I am indebted to Ayurveda, Pranayam, Yoga, Meditation and Vedanta for having transformed my life and am committed to the growth and success of these traditions so that more people can benefit from these timeless treasures. My passion for Pranayama has led me to teach for the past 15 yrs and see the powerful effects of these techniques on chronic health conditions My training in Ayurveda comes from California College of Ayurveda, Dr Lad and from India. I am currently studying advanced Vedanta with Swami Ishwarananda of Chinmaya Mission.
I love to witness healing at the deepest level during the pancha karma sessions where the patients are nurtured in a safe and complete detox process. The patient is immersed in body therapies, yoga, pranayama, meditation, Reiki, and nourished by meals cooked with love. Old habits, negativity and stress melts and is discarded effortlessly along with toxins and carefully replaced by self love, vitality, positivity, clarity and a stronger spiritual connection. What magic!

Deva's approach to Ayurveda combines a very in-depth pulse diagnosis, tongue analysis and thorough questionnaire for determining what imbalances are present. A personal herbal tea blend and essential oil blend are then created to address those imbalances along with lifestyle/diet recommendations. Then depending if anything else needs to be addressed, herbal supplement recommendations and do it yourself at home therapies may also be recommended. Deva looks forward to meeting you and joining you in this path of rediscovering balance through Ayurveda.
Deva is available Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm to give an ancient Ayurvedic Treatment known as Shirodhara, where a warm stream of oil is poured onto the forehead (3rd eye Chakra) for 50 minutes followed with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage.
